News and Inspiration to inspire after the terrorist attacks on US

In response to the events on 9-11-2001 Author Dr. Doreen Virtue sent out a
letter to all lightworkers as follows:

Dear Lightworkers,

This is a time where our spiritual knowledge is put to a test, and where the
"rubber hits the road." Right now, not only is smoke from the fiery crashes
permeating the atmosphere, but even more -- millions of peoples' fears and
worries. It is absolutely essential that we continuously give our worries
and fears about this situation to God and the angels.
Please join me in a unified prayer today at 4:44 p.m. in your time zone, to
pray for those who passed-on, for their families and friends, and for us all
upon earth. Let us also pray for those who orchestrated this event, so that
they are filled with peace instead of fear and anger. And let's pray for the
politicians involved to act with Divine wisdom, in response, instead of from
their egos. Please ask everyone you know to join us in prayer at 4:44 p.m.
today. As the time zones sweep the earth in rotation, so shall our prayers
encircle the globe. We now call upon all God, Holy Spirit, Jesus, Mary, all
of the ascended masters, all of the archangels, and every angel to intervene
into this situation. We ask Archangel Michael to vacuum away all toxins of
anger, fear, and darkness from the world and all of its inhabitants. May
this situation transmute into a blessing, that results in peace. May your
fears be replaced with faith, and may your worries be transmuted into peace.
God is Love, and Love is all there is. You are Love, you are eternal, and in
truth, all is at peace now and forever. Let us cling to the knowledge of
that truth today. If we succumb into fear, the illusion of war will grow. If
we cling to the knowledge of God's eternal peace, we will reveal that truth
as our reality.

Seven Days of Prayer
It took seven to create the world,
we now ask you to join us in spending
the next seven days recreating it.

Wherever you are, join us for the next seven days "FEELING" this new
world and praying it into existence. At 9pm EST, 6pm west coast time,
from September 11 to 18, simply feel the presence of millions around the
world who are praying for all violence to cease. Spend ten minutes in
silence each night knowing that we are creating a new world based upon
the laws of compassion and peace. Once again, please pass this on to
everyone you know.

A Letter from Neale, Marianne, James, James and Doreen:

Dear friends around the world.

The events of this day cause every thinking person to stop their daily
lives, whatever is going on in them, and to ponder deeply the larger
questions of life. We search again for not only the meaning of life, but
the purpose of our individual and collective experience as we have
created it-and we look earnestly for ways in which we might recreate
ourselves anew as a human species, so that we will never treat each
other this way again.

The hour has come for us to demonstrate at the highest level our most
extraordinary thought about Who We Really Are.

There are two possible responses to what has occurred today. The first
comes from love, the second from fear.

If we come from fear we may panic and do things-as individuals and as
nations-that could only cause further damage. If we come from love we
will find refuge and strength, even as we provide it to others.

This is the moment of your ministry. This is the time of teaching. What
you teach at this time, through your every word and action right now,
will remain as indelible lessons in the hearts and minds of those whose
lives you touch, both now, and for years to come.

We will set the course for tomorrow, today. At this hour. In this
moment.

Let us seek not to pinpoint blame, but to pinpoint cause.

Unless we take this time to look at the cause of our experience, we will
never remove ourselves from the experiences it creates. Instead, we will
forever live in fear of retribution from those within the human family
who feel aggrieved, and, likewise, seek retribution from them.

To us the reasons are clear. We have not learned the most basic human
lessons. We have not remembered the most basic human truths. We have
not understood the most basic spiritual wisdom. In short, we have not
been listening to God, and because we have not, we watch ourselves do
ungodly things.

The message we hear from all sources of truth is clear: We are all one.
That is a message the human race has largely ignored. Forgetting this
truth is the only cause of hatred and war, and the way to remember is
simple: Love, this and every moment.

If we could love even those who have attacked us, and seek to understand
why they have done so, what then would be our response? Yet if we meet
negativity with negativity, rage with rage, attack with attack, what
then will be the outcome?

These are the questions that are placed before the human race today.
They are questions that we have failed to answer for thousands of years.
Failure to answer them now could eliminate the need to answer them at
all.

If we want the beauty of the world that we have co-created to be
experienced by our children and our children's children, we will have to
become spiritual activists right here, right now, and cause that to
happen. We must choose to be at cause in the matter.

So, talk with God today. Ask God for help, for counsel and advice, for
insight and for strength and for inner peace and for deep wisdom. Ask
God on this day to show us how to show up in the world in a way that
will cause the world itself to change. And join all those people around
the world who are praying right now, adding your Light to the Light that
dispels all fear.

That is the challenge that is placed before every thinking person today.
Today the human soul asks the question: What can I do to preserve the
beauty and the wonder of our world and to eliminate the anger and
hatred-and the disparity that inevitably causes it - in that part of the
world which I touch?

Please seek to answer that question today, with all the magnificence
that is You.

What can you do TODAY...this very moment?

A central teaching in most spiritual traditions is: What you wish to
experience, provide for another.

Look to see, now, what it is you wish to experience-in your own life,
and in the world. Then see if there is another for whom you may be the
source of that.

If you wish to experience peace, provide peace for another.

If you wish to know that you are safe, cause another to know that they
are safe.

If you wish to better understand seemingly incomprehensible things, help
another to better understand.

If you wish to heal your own sadness or anger, seek to heal the sadness
or anger of another.

Those others are waiting for you now. They are looking to you for
guidance, for help, for courage, for strength, for understanding, and
for assurance at this hour. Most of all, they are looking to you for
love.

We love you, and we send you our deepest thoughts of peace.

Hello Sweet Ones,

The events of Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2001 can only be described as
surreal. As we were watching it all unfold on CNN this morning, it felt as
if we were actually watching a Steven Spielberg film. My hope, Serenity's
Hope, is that we can see through and above what this is really all about. I
believe that we are at a critical mass of consciousness as a Unified World.
The deaths and injuries that we all, being ONE, have experienced today is on
the minds and in the hearts of every living being on this Earth. Many knew
of it's happening simply from the anguish of the energy that flowed through
them. For these people needed no television or radio to understand that
tragedy had fallen upon our Earth. Since 4:44 pm today I have felt a great
healing happening all around us. I saw a vision of legions and legions of
Angels and Archangels surrounding the Earth sending light, love and comfort
and healing to us. The Earth is glowing in the most beautiful bright white
light you could ever imagine. There are Angels sounding trumpets and
expressing great joy in the homecoming celebration for many sweet souls
today. Their stay on Earth is at an end and yet they are just beginning a
most wondrous journey of love and light. In Spirit, they will be able to
help all of us in ways they never could in physical form. I am grateful for
their seeming sacrifice for the whole of humanity. Namaste!

As it has been spoken of in a great many e-mail messages today, this is a
time for love and compassion, not fear. Some of those around me have
expressed confusion, panic, fear and anger and yet I have been peaceful,
hopeful, even optimistic about the implications that are present at this
time. It is a new beginning for us all. Today IS the FIRST day of the rest
of your life!! It is absolutely essential, even critical, that we, as
Lightworkers, bring out the positive aspects of this tragedy, and only that
which is positive. Please don't fall into the trap of "awful-izing" with
anyone. When others are insisting that revenge and anger are the proper
response, we have to show them that there are alternative perceptions
available. It is what we signed up for and why we are on Earth at this time
in history. We are the fuel that will feed the fire. Now I ask... what
fires are you supporting? The burning desire for a world of unity, love and
peace, or a burning desire for someone to pay for this act of terrorism and
inducement of fear? It is our choice, do we choose love or fear? I choose
my individualized expression of God to be that of love! My hope is that you
will do the same.

A message to the Terrorist that caused the events
of September 11, 2001 in the United States and
for all people that are celebrating this terrorism.

      I see that you do not understand what has happened here. You think
that Americans needed to experience such devastation so that we would know
what you live with everyday in your cities. You believe that we think we are
above such violations and therefore deserve to be "knocked down a notch". I
tell you this now... We DO and DID understand how debilitating it is to live
a life like those of you and your families. We have and do grieve over the
loss of childhood for your children that have to live in such fear and
chaos. For years, many, many Americans have joined with others around the
world in praying for Peace and Harmony in your countries. We live in a
country that has much strife, lack and pain as well as you. We understand
that we all experience an absence of Light to some degree, some greater than
others. But we also know that we are One in Truth! This fact seems to have
escaped your remembrance and I would like to re-mind you of this Truth. What
you do to me, you also do to yourself. Can you not see it? We all know it
deep down inside... we are no different, we are the same, we are One with
each other and with our Creator.

     This message is sent as a letter of forgiveness and love to all who
hate and express hatred. We understand that you have been engulfed with
darkness, which is nothing more than the absence of Light. We send you Love
and Light so that you will have peace and clarity to see the Truth of Who
You Really Are. You are Love... and my prayer is that you remember this
Truth and can appropriately become the individualized expression of
God/Goddess/Allah/All That Is that reflects this fact.

      In your efforts to put out our Light, you have created Unity within
the World as a Community. <smile> It is because of your actions that those
leaders of the world have joined strongly together to bring Peace to our
planet. You have influenced a STRONG resolve for the world to live as ONE!
We could never thank you enough for this gift. Yes, many people died, but
you see, they have only changed form. They are now in Spirit and are able to
influence the world in a much bigger way than before. You empowered us to
bring more Light and Love to this planet. Your intentions to do harm and
evil have failed miserably. The chain reaction of unity and peace has begun
and there is nothing that hatred can do to change that now. We ask you to
awaken and join us in this New World of Peace, Harmony, Love and Light.

TRIBUTE TO THE UNITED STATES

This, from a Canadian newspaper, is worth sharing.

America: The Good Neighbor.

Widespread but only partial news coverage was given recently to a remarkable
editorial broadcast from Toronto by Gordon Sinclair, a Canadian television
Commentator. What follows is the full text of his trenchant remarks as
printed in the Congressional Record:

"This Canadian thinks it is time to speak up for the Americans as the most
generous and possibly the least appreciated people on all the earth.
Germany, Japan and, to a lesser extent, Britain and Italy were lifted out of
the debris of war by the Americans who poured in billions of dollars and
forgave other billions in debts.

None of these countries is today paying even the interest on its remaining
debts to the United States. When France was in danger of collapsing in
1956, it was the Americans who propped it up, and their reward was to be
insulted and swindled on the streets of Paris. I was there. I saw it.

When earthquakes hit distant cities, it is the United States that hurries in
to help. This spring, 59 American communities were flattened by tornadoes.
Nobody helped. The Marshall Plan and the Truman Policy pumped billions of
dollars into discouraged countries. Now newspapers in those countries are
writing about the decadent, warmongering Americans.

I'd like to see just one of those countries that is gloating over the
erosion of the United States dollar build its own airplane. Does any other
country in the world have a plane to equal the Boeing Jumbo Jet, the
Lockheed Tri-Star, or the Douglas DC10?

If so, why don't they fly them? Why do all the International lines except
Russia fly American Planes? Why does no other land on earth even consider
putting a man or woman on the moon? You talk about Japanese technocracy,
and you get radios. You talk about German technocracy, and you get
automobiles. You talk about American technocracy, and you find men on the
moon - not once, but several times - and safely home again.

You talk about scandals, and the Americans put theirs right in the store
window for everybody to look at. Even their draft-dodgers are not pursued
and hounded. They are here on our streets, and most of them, unless they
are breaking Canadian laws, are getting American dollars from ma and pa at
home to spend here.

When the railways of France, Germany and India were breaking down through
age, it was the Americans who rebuilt them. When the Pennsylvania Railroad
and the New York Central went broke, nobody loaned them an old caboose.
Both are still broke.

I can name you 5000 times when the Americans raced to the help of other
people in trouble. Can you name me even one time when someone else raced to
the Americans in trouble? I don't think there was outside help even during
the San Francisco earthquake.

Our neighbors have faced it alone, and I'm one Canadian who is damned tired
of hearing them get kicked around. They will come out of this thing with
their flag high. And when they do, they are entitled to thumb their nose at
the lands that are gloating over their present troubles. I hope Canada is
not one of those."

Stand proud, America! Wear it proudly!!

This is one of the best editorials that I have ever read regarding the
United States. It is nice that one man realizes it. I only wish that the
rest of the world would realize it. We are always blamed for everything,
and never even get a thank you for the things we do.

I would hope that each of you would send this to as many people as you can
and emphasize that they should send it to as many of their friends until
this letter is sent to every person on the web. I am just a single American
that has read this, TRIBUTE TO THE UNITED STATES

Hello Sweet Angels,

      I want to add to the message I forwarded to this list earlier today on
A Tribute To The United States. I wanted to say that it was sent out to help
in the building of confidence for our nation and it's leaders to react with
wisdom. No, I do not believe by any far stretch of the imagination that we
are alone and unsupported. I hope by the mere fact that I sent out that
message didn't come across that way to anyone. It was very, very difficult
to watch as some Palestinian's celebrated this terrorist event in their
streets. Over the years I have heard many Americans complain about our
government. Things like, "Why does the government send so much money to help
other countries when there is so much hunger, sickness and homelessness in
our own country?" I have heard young people say that America sucks and that
it is all screwed up. Then they come to the realization that it's probably
the best game in town after all. American confidence and lack of pride has
been at an all time low for some time. I don't know the exact source of that
article, but, it really hit home to me that we are a great country and very
unique people indeed. I sent that message in hopes that it would help us
stand up and own what we were... what we are... and what we are becoming in
the world community.

    I, like so many of us in the US, live complacently from day
to day without fear of danger. Then a tragedy like this occurs
and reminds us of the fragility of life and how important it is
for us to set aside our differences and all join hands in common

HAGELIN RESPONDS TO TUESDAY'S TRAGEDY

A MESSAGE FROM NATURAL LAW PARTY LEADERS

The leaders of the Natural Law Party extend their deepest,
heartfelt prayers and condolences to the families of those
who have lost their lives, and to those who have been injured,
in this week's terrible tragedy.

We pray for the restoration of peace, as we redouble our
efforts and rededicate ourselves to the noble aspirations
of our Party: Peace, harmony, and prosperity in the family
of nations, through life in accord with Natural Law.

The following analysis and proposed solutions to the
persistent threat of violence were released on Wednesday
by our 2000 Presidential Candidate, Dr. John Hagelin.

IT'S TIME FOR SOLUTIONS

Let us not waste precious time lamenting what should have
been done to prevent this week's barbaric acts. Let us
instead do what must be done NOW to prevent further carnage.

For next time, the devastation could be worse. This week's
attack was partly symbolic: targeting the icons of U.S.
military and commercial power. It would have been easier,
analysts say, for the terrorists to unleash a biological
weapon, or to detonate a crude nuclear device, than to
execute their highly coordinated, pinpoint attack, involving
the simultaneous breach of multiple airport security systems.

While a NARROWLY TARGETED response against the perpetrators
of the atrocity is clearly mandated, we must resist any
impulse to retaliate militarily against entire nations or
even communities. Such retaliation would be as barbarous as
the very act we are condemning--and would only cause an
escalation of bloodshed on all sides.

Even as we pursue such justice, we must also recognize the
impotence of this pursuit. First, because the damage is done;
reactive steps cannot change this fact. A proactive,
PREVENTIVE strategy is needed. Second, suicide bombers and
the bin Ladens of this world will only welcome the perpetuation
and escalation of violence. It fuels their cause, expands their
support base, enflames their followers--and feeds their own
blood lust.

What do we do? It is abundantly clear that conventional
strategies of defense provide NO effective defense against
terrorism. And despite the cry for a dramatic escalation of
our intelligence services, nothing short of a totalitarian
police state--entailing a massive invasion of our privacy
and individual liberties--could have prevented this week's
horrific acts. Even with the government's ultra-high-tech
eavesdropping technologies, ECHELON and CARNIVORE, already
prying into the lives of American citizens, our intelligence
agencies had NO CLUE of the impending, massive attack.

Clearly, we need a new approach--one that targets the
underlying causes of fanatical, violent behavior. Setting
aside, for now, recent U.S. foreign policies that foster
international resentment and invite retaliation, such causes
include:

1. Mounting tensions among rival factions in critical hotspots throughout
the world; and
2. Deep-seated ignorance and underdevelopment of the brain
caused by outdated education.

Education must expand comprehension, and it must develop the
brain fully. It should incorporate the most profound scientific
knowledge, including the discovery of the unified field, which
establishes the ultimate unity of life and of humanity. This
knowledge can be effectively conveyed even at primary levels
of education. Research shows that the assimilation of such
knowledge, together with its associated balanced brain
development, virtually precludes narrowly self-centered,
violent and destructive behavior. Highly successful examples
of this "unified-field based" education can be found throughout
the world, including at my university in Iowa.

But it may take years to modernize education and "enlighten"
the world. In the meantime, we must halt terrorism now. And
we can, according to research published in leading scientific
journals. We can diffuse acute ethnic and religious tensions
that underlie regional conflicts and terrorism, using
field-tested approaches that have demonstrated their ability
to quell violence and warfare. Novel as it may seem, these
approaches include the practice of stress-reducing meditation
techniques by strategically located groups--an approach that
was scientifically shown to produce an 80% drop in war deaths
and war-related injuries during the Lebanon war.

Right now, Major General Kulwant Singh, a highly decorated
35-year career veteran, is in Washington, D.C., urging
President Bush to quickly implement a "prevention wing" in
the military--10,000-20,000 troops trained in the powerful
peace-promoting technology of Transcendental Meditation and
related techniques. This approach is being supported by a
growing number of military leaders throughout the world.

Unfortunately, rather than look seriously at something new
that MIGHT work--something with extensive research behind it--
the Bush Administration is pushing costly, outmoded and
invasive strategies that we know DON'T work.

Now is not the time for hollow assurances--nor the hasty
abridgement of our hard-won freedoms. Now is the time for
a NEW approach--an approach with a demonstrated ability to
prevent social violence and stop terrorism.

World shares U.S. grief

LONDON, England (CNN) -- Countries around the world are sharing the grief of
the U.S. as it becomes clear that hundreds of their citizens were caught in
the terrorist attacks on New York.

The United Kingdom, Japan and Australia have confirmed the deaths of dozens
of its citizens after two hijacked planes slammed into the twin towers of
the World Trade Centers. Hundreds are still missing.

The European Union has declared Friday a day of mourning throughout its 15
member states.

The pope expressed his "profound sorrow" at the terrorist attacks on the
U.S.

Britain's Queen Elizabeth II, who said she had watched the attacks "with
disbelief and total shock," will attend a special service at St Paul's
Cathedral in London.

A special changing of the guard is due to take place outside Buckingham
Palace on Thursday, to the sound of the U.S. National Anthem. It will follow
a two-minute silence.

About 100 Britons are known to have died in the New York attacks, and the
final toll could reach the "middle hundreds" if not higher, UK Foreign
Secretary Jack Straw said.

Russia and NATO issued a rare joint statement on Thursday that they would
join forces to find the culprits of Tuesday's attack, so they do not go
unpunished.

A statement from the NATO-Russia Permanent Joint Council said: "While (NATO)
allies and Russia have suffered from terrorist attacks against civilians,
the horrific scale of the attacks of 11 September is without precedent in
modern history.

"NATO and Russia are united in their resolve not to let those responsible
for such an inhuman act go unpunished."

The military alliance voted unanimously late on Wednesday to invoke Chapter
5 of its charter, which would allow the 19-nation bloc to give any form of
support to the U.S., on the grounds that if one member is attacked, they all
are.

NATO Secretary-General George Robertson denounced the "terrible, dreadful
attack."

But German Defence Minister Rudolf Scharping cautioned against any hasty
retaliatory action.

He was reported by Reuters as telling German television on Thursday: "I hope
we all remain calm and do not now speak of a state of alarm. We not face a
war. We face the question of what is an appropriate response."

Acting Australian Prime Minister John Anderson said his country may activate
a similar clause to NATO's in its military treaty with the U.S. which
equates an attack on U.S. soil with an attack on Australia.

"I again say that the Australian government will participate in whatever
action is needed internationally," The Associated Press reported.

Nine Australians have been confirmed dead, with a further 85 missing.

Japan, which still has 100 nationals unaccounted for, promised full
co-operation if the U.S. retaliates.

Japan's Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi said he could not forgive the
suicide attackers.

European Commission President Romano Prodi said after the most serious
assault on the United States since Pearl Harbor in 1941: "In the darkest
days of European history, America stood close by us and today we stand close
by America.

"Nothing will ever be the same."

European Union foreign ministers offered immediate search and rescue help
and total solidarity.

As the scale of the U.S. attacks sank deeper, even old enemies like Syria,
Cuba, Libya, Iran -- with Iraq the exception -- stood by the U.S..

Pakistan, one of the few countries that recognises Afghanistan, gave its
support to the U.S.. Afghanistan is believed to be the home of the prime
suspect in the attacks, Osama bin Laden

Pakistan's military ruler General Pervez Musharraf said in a television
address: "All countries must join hands in this common cause."

Leaders and public figures around the globe meanwhile expressed horror at
the attacks, and sent messages of support and condolence to the American
people.

British PM Tony Blair said the attacks on New York and Washington were "an
attack on the free and democratic world everywhere."

Pope John Paul II sent a telegram to President George W. Bush. "I hurry to
express to you and your fellow citizens my profound sorrow and my closeness
in prayer for the nation at this dark and tragic moment," he said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin also sent a telegram to Bush. "Dear
George," he wrote, "such an inhuman act must not go unpunished."

U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan called the attacks "deliberate acts of
terrorism, carefully planned and co-ordinated."

Guy Verhofstadt, the prime minister of Belgium, which currently holds the
chair of the EU, expressed "deep shock and dismay" on hearing of the
attacks.

German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder said: "This is not only an attack on the
United States but an attack on the civilised world."

Italian and EU flags flew at half-mast at the office of Italian prime
minister Silvio Berlusconi, who said Italy joined the U.S. in condemning
"these monstrous criminals who have demonstrated a vile and brutal affront
against humanity," The Associated Press said.

French President Jacques Chirac, in a live televised address, condemned the
attacks as "monstrous," AP said, while Prime Minister Lionel Jospin talked
of his "sadness and horror."

Canada tightened security in major cities and along the U.S. border. Prime
Minister Jean Chretien, in a statement released through his office, said he
had "expressed his horror at the news that the United States has been the
victim of multiple terrorist attacks."

In the Middle East Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and Palestinian
leader Yasser Arafat expressed their condolences for the attack.

Sharon said: "The fight against terrorism is an international struggle of
the free world against the forces of darkness."

He said Israel was standing-by to provide the U.S. with any help it may
need.

Arafat said: "We are completely shocked. It's unbelievable. We completely
condemn this very dangerous attack, and I convey my condolences to the
American people, to the American president and to the American
administration, not only in my name but on behalf of the Palestinian
people."

Cuban Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque said: "Cuba laments and expresses
its profound sadness for the loss of so many innocent lives and expresses
our absolute rejection of acts of terrorism, wherever they may come from."

The Cuban official also offered airspace and airports to any aircraft from
the United States or elsewhere that needs it.

Chinese President Jiang Zemin sent a message to Bush expressing sympathy
over the deadly attacks, Xinhua news agency was reported by Reuters as
saying.

In Kabul, Afghanistan, Wakeel Ahmed Mutawakel, the foreign minister of
Afghanistan's ruling Taliban government, told the Arab television network Al
Jazeera, "We denounce this terrorist attack, whoever is behind it."

Mohammad Khatami, the Iranian president, said he felt "deep regret and
sympathy with the victims."

Even Libyan President Muammar Gadhafi expressed his shock at the attack.

In Baghdad, Iraqi state television hailed the attacks as "a natural reaction
to American rulers hegemony, deception and foolishness."

In a broadcast monitored by the BBC the television station said: "The
American cowboy is reaping the fruits of his crimes against humanity."

Sheikh Yassin, leader of the Islamic militant group Hamas, said: "No doubt
this is a result of injustice the U.S practices against the weak in the
world."

From Gaza, Islamic Jihad official Nafez Azzam said: "What happened in the
United States today is a consequence of American policies in this region."

Greetings from Orin and DaBen!

You have all responded beautifully in this time of great sorrow. You have
joined together on the inner planes with other lightworkers and the beings
of light, you have lifted solar plexus responses such as fear and anger into
your heart center, and you have been a source of light and love for those
around. Your individual responses have collectively created a wave of love
that is greatly needed, and that will touch the heart centers of many with
new love and awakening.

During times such as these, enormous numbers of people are open to new ways
of thinking, and are listening to the voice of their hearts and their
souls. The great loss that has occurred has given everyone a chance to
reflect upon the purpose and meaning of their lives. It has impelled
millions to turn upward, reaffirm their belief in God/Goddess/All-That-Is,
and feel their oneness with each other.

We see a humanity that is more united than ever before. Even if the unity
experienced at this high level is for just a brief while, the joining
together that is now happening will have effects for years to come.
Humanity is learning how to form a collective voice, and the inner
connections that are being formed during this time will be carried out with
new actions, thoughts, organizations, choices, and decisions that will
change the course of history.

The group of souls who gave up their lives, and the loved ones they left
behind, are part of a remarkable soul group. Take a moment to sense the
courage, love, and sacrifice this group of souls has made. Those souls who
have passed on have given humanity an enormous opportunity to awaken their
inner strength and the will to act with wisdom to bring about world peace
and unity.

These are remarkable souls, and you will note in the stories you hear about
them that they seemed to be special people known by their kindness,
willingness to help others, and by a certain light and radiance they
possessed. These souls and their loved ones are being honored and blessed
by the loving thoughts of millions. Through their sacrifice, and through
the prayers of millions, they will move to a new level of spiritual
awakening as souls. Those who are left behind will find many rewards of
light, awakening, love, and spiritual progress coming to them out of this
great sacrifice that they are experiencing.

There are powerful energies of Divine Will that are pouring into the earth
plane starting in the year 2000 and coming throughout this year. These are
the energies that destroy old thought forms, release illusions, and bring to
the surface that which has been hidden. Dense, negative energies that have
been ignored and hidden are coming to the surface to be dealt with and
negated.

This is the aspect of Divine Will that releases obstacles and assists people
in finding the shortest path to the goal, which is unity with respect for
differences, guardianship of other life forms, and a humanity that can act
collectively to create the highest good for all life.

The powerful waves of Divine Will are the carriers of Divine Love. A wave
of Divine Love is flowing into humanity, and you can and will experience
this love and goodness being expressed in many new ways. The crystallized
thoughts that have allowed hate and separatism to exist are being shattered,
never again to be as strong. Do not underestimate the power of Divine Will
and the transformation that is possible with Divine Love.

This has been called the year of the Great Decision, culminating with the
full moon of October 2nd. This is the year you need to decide - are you
going to love and focus on your unity with others, or are you going to feel
separate and focus on your differences? Are you going to listen to your
heart and do those things your heart has been calling to you to do? Are you
willing to be a source of love and a beacon of light for those around?
During the full moon of October, we invite all of you to join us on the
inner planes to unite as one voice to draw in and transmit waves of Divine
Love to humanity and to all life.

A suggestion of how to meditate for humanity right now and call upon the
Great Ones can be found below. Receive these energies of Divine Will and
Divine Love and become a transmitter of these to your friends and loved
ones.

Whatever decision you make will determine your path, and will collectively
determine the path of humanity.

How to Call Upon the Great Ones

Who are the Great Ones? These are Beings of Light who include the Masters
and Enlightened Ones, and those who are even more evolved. Although they
never interfere with free will, they can be called upon to assist humanity
to evolve, to live as souls, and to assist humanity in lifting some of the
conditions present. They cannot help until their help is requested.

The Great Ones work through those who call upon them and can hear and
respond to the energies they are transmitting. They respond only to group
need and lend their assistance when called upon by enough sincere people.
They are in touch with the highest forces of light, and can work from these
high levels to help humanity create powerful changes.

Join with us and all lightworkers to call upon the Great Ones. Take these
steps:

1. Relax your body, calm your emotions, and clear your mind. Let yourself
grow more and more peaceful.

2. Call your soul to you and let yourself blend with it.

3. Imagine that you can sense or see the souls of everyone who is joining
together for this meditation. Invite in the souls of all lightworkers. Greet
these souls, and feel the beautiful light that all of you are creating
together.

4. Picture being joined by many Beings of Light who are here to join you as
you call upon the Great Ones.

5. Everyone calls upon the Great Ones to transmit energy to humanity.
Receive whatever quality is being called for-love in April, light in May,
goodwill in June, and receiving the new energies in August. Join in this
call to the Great Ones by sounding an "om."

6. The Great Ones hear and respond. Receive their transmission. You may have
a sense of their transmission, or you may not.

7. Imagine a positive future for yourself and for humanity. Envision
humanity with more love, light, goodwill, and whatever energy is being
invoked.

8. Finish by sounding an "om." Imagine joining thousands around the world to
send the energy you have received to:

I know many of you are probably growing tired of hearing the different
slants on this whole terrorism issue by now. Some of you are not. I wanted
to send this one out because I am being led to info about what the
Afghanistan people are like and why. I feel that it's important for all of
us to know what could be or really is going on here. I have always said that
Knowledge is Power, and I mean that. After reading something like this.. it
puts your mind in an more relaxed state for compassion to cultivate... no
matter what your beliefs you hold.

Bombing Afghanistan

I've been hearing a lot of talk about "bombing Afghanistan back to the Stone
Age." Ronn Owens, on KGO Talk Radio today, allowed that this would mean
killing innocent people, people who had nothing to do with this atrocity,
but "we're at war, we have to accept collateral damage. What else can we
do?"

Minutes later I heard some TV pundit discussing whether we "have the belly
to do what must be done." And I thought about the issues being raised
especially hard because I am from Afghanistan, and even though I've lived
here (U.S.A.) for 35 years I've never lost track of what's going on there.
So I want
to tell anyone who will listen how it all looks from where I'm standing. I
speak as one who hates the Taliban and Osama Bin Laden.

There is no doubt in my mind that these people were responsible for the
atrocity in New York. I agree that something must be done about those
monsters. But the Taliban and Ben Laden are not Afghanistan. They're not
even the government of Afghanistan. The Taliban are a cult of ignorant
psychotics who took over Afghanistan in 1997. Bin Laden is a political
criminal with a plan.

When you think Taliban, think Nazis. When you think Bin Laden, think Hitler.
And when you think "the people of Afghanistan" think "the Jews in the
concentration camps."

It's not only that the Afghan people had nothing to do with this atrocity.
They were the first victims of the perpetrators. They would exult if someone
would come in there, take out the Taliban and clear out the rats nest of
international thugs holed up in their country. Some say, why don't the
Afghans rise up and overthrow the Taliban? The answer is, they're starved,
exhausted, hurt, incapacitated, suffering.

A few years ago, the United Nations estimated that there are 500,000
disabled orphans in Afghanistan -- a country with no economy, no food. There
are millions of widows. And the Taliban has been burying these widows alive
in mass graves. The soil is littered with land mines, the farms were all
destroyed by the Soviets. These are a few of the reasons why the Afghan
people have not overthrown the Taliban.

We come now to the question of bombing Afghanistan back to the Stone Age.
Trouble is, that's been done. The Soviets took care of it already. Make the
Afghans suffer? They're already suffering. Level their houses? Done. Turn
their schools into piles of rubble? Done. Eradicate their hospitals? Done.
Destroy their infrastructure? Cut them off from medicine and health care?
Too late. Someone already did all that.

New bombs would only stir the rubble of earlier bombs. Would they at least
get the Taliban? Not likely.

In today's Afghanistan, only the Taliban eat, only they have the means to
move around. They'd slip away and hide. Maybe the bombs would get some of
those disabled orphans, they don't move too fast, they don't even have
wheelchairs. But flying over Kabul and dropping bombs wouldn't really be a
strike against the criminals who did this horrific thing. Actually it would
only be making common cause with the Taliban -- by raping once again the
people they've been raping all this time.

So what else is there? What can be done, then?
Let me now speak with true fear and trembling. The only way to get Bin Laden
is to go in there with ground troops. When people speak of "having the belly
to do what needs to be done" they're thinking in terms of having the belly
to kill as many as needed. Having the belly to overcome any moral qualms
about killing innocent people.

Let's pull our heads out of the sand. What's actually on the table is
Americans dying. And not just because some Americans would die fighting
their way through Afghanistan to Bin Laden's hideout. It's much bigger than
that folks. Because to get any troops to Afghanistan, we'd have to go
through Pakistan. Would they let us? Not likely. The conquest of Pakistan
would have to be first. Will other Muslim nations just stand by? You see
where I'm going. We're flirting with a world war between Islam and the
West..

And guess what: that's Bin Laden's program. That's exactly what he wants.
That's why he did this. Read his speeches and statements. It's all right
there. He really believes Islam would beat the west. It might seem
ridiculous, but he figures if he can polarize the world into Islam and the
West, he's got a billion soldiers. If the west wreaks a holocaust in those
lands, that's a billion people with nothing left to lose, that's even better
from Bin Laden's point of view. He's probably wrong, in the end the west
would win, whatever that would mean, but the war would last for years and
millions would die, not just theirs but ours. Who has the belly for that?
Bin Laden does. Anyone else?

My name is Gotham Chopra and I am Deepak's son. I work with Channel One
News, an educational news broadcast that is seen in an estimated 12.5
thousand secondary schools, as a TV reporter.

About a month ago, I rode up with two colleagues to the Northwest Frontier
region of Pakistan bordering Afghanistan. We were covering a story on
Islamic militancy training grounds based in Pakistani religious schools.
In the west they have widely been reported to be ground zero for the
grooming of young Muslim boys into hostile anti-western terrorists. In
Pakistan, both the government and the men at the school hotly contested
these claims, castigating the west for generating such racist propaganda. I
traveled to this lost area with as little bias as possible - but with a
certain and undeniable fear in my heart.

In the school itself, the chancellor was most kind and hospitable. He had
us tour the grounds of the school, meet teachers and some of the boys -
though at first we weren't allowed to talk to them. We were then escorted
into his private residence. The first thing I noticed on the center table
was a bowl of big yellow mangoes and a picture. The picture was of our host
- an older Muslim Mullah wearing a traditional white turban and a stained
orange beard and his friend - Osama Bin Laden, the number one man on the
FBI's list of Most Wanted. I asked our host if we could interview him. He
agreed but insisted first that we share mangoes with him. I agreed and he
took out a long knife and proceeded to slice the fruit for me. We slurped
and chatted for a while and finally were permitted to turn on the camera.

I asked the Mullah a wide array of questions. "Did he hate the US? Why is
there such Anti-Americanism in this part of the world? Should Americans be
afraid?"

He answered them all eloquently and without hostility. He talked about the
history of the US and Afghanistan, how during the Cold War, they were
allies, united fighting a war against the Soviets.

"You gave us weapons and trained our men. You built our roads, fed our
people. Do you realize young man that your government helps to create and
to fund the Taliban because it was their interest to use Guerilla warfare
and terrorist tactics against the Russians? You made us your friend."

"But then your Cold War ended and you deserted us." At this point, there
was a hint of animosity in his voice. " Because it was no longer in your
selfish interest to have us as your allies, you abandoned us, left our

There was a silence between us.

Finally I asked him about the picture, about the nature of his relationship
with Mr. Bin Laden.

"He's an old friend. And a good man."

I shook my head. "Is he a terrorist?"

"We don't call him that here." The Mullah made it clear he was not
interested in talking any more. We shook hands. I thanked him for his
hospitality.

On the way out I thought about that hospitality. I knew that the Mullah
himself had endorsed a fatwa, or religious order, by Bin Laden several
years ago urging Muslims to kill American civilians. But here was this man
cutting mangoes for us and being very gracious.

"Today you are our guest. If we were not hospitable, we would be very
ashamed. But in times of war, yes you would be an enemy and we may kill
you. Today a friend, tomorrow, inshallah (God willing), there will not be
one."

I ask everyone to join my father and me in prayer for the
healing of our wounded civilization (if we can call it that). Let us pray
every day to our Gods remembering, as my dad has taught me since childhood,
that Christ was not a Christian, Mohammed was not a Mohammeden, Buddha was
not a Buddhist, and Krishna was not a Hindu.
