This section
of the site is dedicated to those words that inspire us so greatly! The way I am
going to set this up to start with, is by pasting my little inspirational
goodies here. Later I plan to categorize them into topics. I am leaving them in
e-mail form just as I had originally sent them out. I hope you find tons of
treasures here! I will update every free chance I get.
These
sharings have been collected from all over the internet to bring light and
love to your life. I send them daily as a rule, but when life happens to me,
I may miss a few days here and there. :) I am calling this sharing of love
and light, Serenity's Hope. My hopes and dreams for all of us. Through love,
sharing, caring, giving, trusting, forgiving, inspiring and the learning to
become a whole, we will have a better world! At the bottom of the page a
form is provided to subscribe to 2 different e-mail lists. One is the daily
"Serenity's Hope" and the other is a discussion list called
"Lightworkers Spreading the Light". This also includes the daily,
"Serenity's Hope".

Take time to celebrate.
Celebrate your successes, your growth, your
accomplishments. Celebrate you and who you are.
For too long you have been too hard on yourself. Others
have spilled their negative energy-their attitudes,
beliefs, pain-on you. It had nothing to do with you! All
along, you have been a gift to yourself and to the
universe.
You are a child of God. Beautiful, a delight, a joy. You
do not have to try harder, be better, be perfect, or be
anything you are not. Your beauty is in you, just as you
are each moment.
Celebrate that.

I Am That
Have you ever had the experience of witnessing a beautiful sunset, or
gazing
into a perfectly blossomed rose, or viewing the stars on a clear
night, and
been awestruck by the magnificence of God's creation? Not only
is nature
God's creation, but it is God Itself in expression. It is easy
to see God's
beauty expressed in nature, but did you know that God's beauty and
magnificence also express as you? All of God's qualities are
present right
where you are. Affirming, claiming, and owning your divine
qualities set
the
activity of the law in motion to outpicture in your life.
Therefore, while
you are enjoying the beauty of nature, you can affirm, "I, too,
and that
beautiful, I am that magnificent."
The same is true for any of God's qualities. You may enjoy the
vastness of
an ocean and ponder the limitless grains of sand on a beach.
While you do,
you can affirm, "I am that abundant!" God's limitless
abundance is in the
ocean and in you. While you are breathing in the peace of a
calm, soothing
breeze on a summer evening, you can affirm, "I am that
peaceful." If you
should catch a glimpse of a baby as it beams an enthusiastic smile,
you may
want to affirm, "I am that joyful."
All of life can be a reminder to us of how beautiful, magnificent,
abundant,
and full of joy we are. We choose where to focus our attention.
Let us
develop our internal radar to seek out the beauty and abundance in
life,
claim it as our own, and witness the miraculous outpicturing of these
qualities in our lives.
AFFIRM
Today I choose to see the abundance of joy, beauty, and peace all
around me.
As I see the abundance in nature, I affirm: I am that. As I see
the joy in
life, I affirm: I am that. This is who I Am.

BEYOND THE HUMPS
A police officer told an all-too-common story. While on patrol,
she was pleased one day to see a car sporting a bumper sticker
that read, "Hang up and drive." She had witnessed too many
accidents caused by motorist talking on cell phones. Wanting to
signal her approval to the driver, she pulled up alongside the
car. When she glanced over, however, she was dismayed to see a
man peering into his rear-view mirror -- while shaving! His
crusade against cell phones had apparently not extended to
shavers.
An African proverb states, "The camel never sees its own hump,
but that of its brothers is always before its eyes." And with
humans, when those irritating faults of others are constantly
before our eyes, we can likewise let them obscure our vision. We
soon lose sight of the good and decent qualities of another,
the true essence of who they are, and all we see is the
"hump."
Besides, we sometimes forget that, 1) even humps serve a
purpose; and 2) we have our own unseen humps.
So what will you look at? Will you notice only so-called humps,
or will you look beyond them to love and goodness? A good
question to ask yourself is, "Do I choose to be a love finder or
a fault finder?" For we can't do one while we're busy doing the
other.

May the
Light be Upon You
May the Light be upon you, may It illumine every
Dark corner of your mind and bring clarity and
Awareness revealing the terrifying illusions you
Believed hid there for eons.
May the Light be upon the fearful judgments that
Were created out of a false past, which set up
Countless reference points to establish a false future.
May the Light be upon all that remains, with past and
Future gone...where can you then live but Now?
And with this New understanding, fear must forever leave
You for what is to fear if the past has dissolved into Now?
Without fear of any kind, can anything be left but its opposite...
Love?
Let the Light be upon the Love that is the Truth of living Now.

It's All In the Timing
Often we bemoan not being at the right place at the right time. At
other
times, it seems like our "fairy godmother" must have been
looking over our
shoulder because we "magically" were, indeed, just where we
needed to be to
have a wonderful, wondrous experience.
Are these happening truly happenstance? Is it just luck, or fate? Or
do we
have something to do with it?
I recall one experience in my life that seemed like one of those
"cosmic
coincidences". It was a Sunday afternoon, and I was at home
enjoying some
quiet relaxation, when all of a sudden I had this urge to go to the
bookstore. I had not had any intention of going out, let alone to the
bookstore, but this feeling was strong. It was almost as if someone
was
standing inside of me saying "Go to the bookstore". So I
did.
When I got there, much to my amazement, a friend that I had lost touch
with
was there. We had a wonderful reunion and I was so glad of the
"coincidence"
of our both being in this store at the same time.
Coincidence? I think not. Some part of me - call it Higher Self,
intuition,
right brain, inner self, guardian angel, gut feeling, whatever - knew
that
my friend was going to be at the bookstore, and it suggested
(strongly) that
I go there at that particular time.
I think many an accident would be avoided if people learned to
"go with the
flow". In other words, when things are not flowing in one
direction, go with
it not against it. Sometimes in the morning, everything seems to be
conspiring for you to be late. But who knows, are you really late? Or
are
you simply being guided not be at a particular spot at a time when
there may
be an accident happening there. Have you ever passed the scene of an
accident and realized that if you had been 5 minutes earlier, that
could
have been you?
We all have experienced situations like this. We tend to call them
coincidences. Yet, our inner voice or intuition is constantly feeding
us
messages or guidance. The question is: are we listening? And if we are
listening, do we follow through on the feeling or suggestion?
We are all telepathic, intuitive beings. Whether or not we tune in to
it and
pay attention is another question. But we all have the capability of
receiving guidance - we receive it all the time. You know, those times
when
you are craving that second piece of chocolate cake, and a little
gentle
voice inside says "one was enough". You have a choice at
that moment - we
always do.
In our time-obsessed and success-driven society, we have learned to
override
the voice of our inner self and ignore it when it doesn't fit into our
"5
year plan", or our plan for the moment. Yet the Universe has a
better
concept of what is proper timing than we do. We are simply a player or
a peg
in the puzzle of life. Of course we have free will, yet when we are
willing
to listen to the cosmic director's advice and follow its guidance, we
suddenly find ourselves "at the right place at the right
time".
Caught in traffic? Maybe if you had been listening carefully, you
would have
heeded that slight feeling to take a different road today - instead of
listening to your mind that said, "no, that way is the slow way,
I don't
have time for that". So you ended up stuck in traffic. Or better
yet, rather
than our acting out of role and always taking the same route, we
might, upon
getting in the car, ask our "Higher Self/intuition" - which
road is the best
for me this morning? And thus be assured that we are on the
"right path".
At times, we are pushing ourselves to make that 5 o'clock appointment
with a
friend. And we're rushing, and pushing, and feeling stressed and out
of
breath. All to get there "on time". So we get there! And our
friend is 15
minutes "late". If we had "gone with the flow" we
might have gotten there 10
minutes "late" but still would have arrived before our
friend got there.
That's happened to me many times - even though my inner voice was
telling
me, "relax, it's ok. You'll be fine. Don't get so stressed out
over 5 or 10
minutes." Been there?
We all have within us the power and clarity to always be at the right
place
at the right time. It takes tuning in, asking the right question, or
simply
paying attention to feelings or hunches. Being psychic is not so
extraordinary. We are all psychic. We are all part of the great
interconnectedness of Mind. We all have access to the storage of data
and
information about the present and yes, even about the
"future". But what
channel are we tuning in to? The fear channel? Or the intuition
channel?
Thank God it never closes and it's always right on time!

One Spirit

One Spirit. Think it! Breathe it! Live in it!
Absorb it! Know it above
all else - for beyond it there is no thing. You are One
Spirit, one with
that Allness, beyond which there is only that Allness.
Therefore, My child,
need you ask to receive what is already yours? All the force
of Creative
Power lies in the One. As this Consciousness fills your whole
being, the
physical body becomes to you as nothing; it is only the instrument
with
which
you carry on upon the plane of physical manifestation. To the
degree that
you are conscious of this oneness, shall the physical take on the
Spirit
which inhabits it.
My Beloved, learn as never before, to dwell in this consciousness;
then
shall
you declare for yourself and for those you love the truth of Being,
and
there
shall come forth out of the Universe of Pure Spirit, the physical
manifestation for all your needs, and for the needs which you see
with a
clear eye for others. Be still, great power shall flow through
you, the
Power of which you are an integral part. It shall flow through
and around
and out from you, and all you touch or contemplate, shall in time be
made
manifest. In Spirit there is no time, but in the physical,
time must needs
play a part. Therefore the time element enters into the work
of
manifestation. When the faith is strong, and the knowing is
complete - that
for the Allness, time is not - the soul moves on wings of victory
singing
songs of praise and thanksgiving, ere those about you see the
manifestations
which the soul knows have already taken place.

THE GREATEST RESOURCE
Many are searching; many more are on a quest,
Visiting country after country with the same request.
Looking for answers to the most asked question,
How to find God and enlightenment is their petition.
Others have turned to drugs to induce a certain state,
Believing that God will be unveiled as they wait.
While some join strange cults and religious sects,
Thinking their leader to be the best messiah yet.
In reality there is one place that God can be,
And it is the same place for you and for me.
Listen to the quiet voice you hear deep within,
Then you'll find it's at last time to begin.
For all the many answers that you seek,
Will be answered by God as you speak.
Enlightenment will come straight from source,
For God himself is the greatest living resource.

PSYCHOMETRY - GETTING STARTED
by Alex Palermo
This is an easy way to develop your psychic gifts. Just remember
that all
objects carry frequencies.
Hold an object that belongs to another person. It is best if
you do not
know who the person is. Some people prefer metal objects--such
as keys or
jewelry--as metal carries a strong frequency. All objects will
carry an
energy frequency connected to the person they are most in contact
with.
Now hold that object and close your eyes. You should get mental
images or
thoughts about the person belonging to that object.
Don't strain. Relax and let the images flow through your mind. You
might
want to stop and write them down. You might feel emotions from the
object--like love, anger, etc. You might getting a feeling,
like -- "I am
overworked and really need a vacation".
Whatever you get--write it down. The check to see if you are right.
READING AN OBJECT:
You should begin with someone unfamiliar. This person can act as an
observer and also supply the article to be read.
Choose an object of personal value to your subject: a ring, a watch,
bracelet, wallet or small article of clothing. This object must be
something the subject wears or uses often - every day if possible -
and the person must have worn it recently. It should not have been
worn recently by anyone else.
Take the object and place it in either hand (you will soon choose
one
hand over the other, this will be the hand that receives the most
"vibes". (Once you choose a hand you need to stick with
the choice)
Take the object in your hand and let it lie there while you become
very relaxed, allowing mental images to float before your eyes.
After
a few moments, begin to verbalize those images.
Have the subject start to snap his/her fingers. This sets up a
rhythm,
much like a metronome, and causes you to zero in on the object and
produce quick, spontaneous information.
Either the reader or observer can write down the information coming
through, but it is helpful to have a third person do it. The person
you choose should write down your first impressions and sensations
and
one word clues, as well as any "pictures" you see. Have
the subject
validate the results.
Some people are more relaxed and trusting and so they get lots of
messages
immediately. Some people are afraid they will say or do it
incorrectly so
they get nothing. They block out the messages. Remind yourself this
is new
to you ....and James Randi wont be outside waiting to test you!

New feelings may seem uncomfortable at first. I may be
used to feeling afraid and anxious, or depressed and alone.
In my new life, I may begin to feel joy or happiness, or

Image or Essence
Ernest Holmes wrote: "Everyone who has ever lived has
left behind a mental
picture of himself. These pictures are often seen when one
is in a
subjective state. This does not mean that we really see the
person; what we
see, generally, is the picture." In everyday life, we
look at each other
and
do not see the person, but a picture of the person. We wish
to look at each
other and see the truth of that person's being. The greeting
namaste means:
T
he God in me salutes the God in you. We wish to look deeply
into each
other's eyes and say, "I see who you are, and I understand,
and I love who
you are." And each of us in turn wishes to be deeply
known and loved for
our
essential self. Instead we look and see a picture of a
person. That
picture
is made up of the myriad of beliefs, cultural attitudes, and past
experiences
that I bring to our encounter.
I see you through my reactions to the clothes you are wearing or
to the
feelings invoked in me because your face, your walk, or your way
of speaking
reminds me of someone in my past. I do not come to you with
a willingness
to
see afresh, with new eyes for this particular moment. And
you project to me
the picture of how you would like to be or how you have been
conditioned to
see yourself, or you come covered in some disguise that has
allowed you to
protect yourself in the past.
With courage, it can be different. We can grow in our
ability to pay
attention, in our willingness to listen without judgment, in the
courage to
allow ourselves to be seen. We can grow in faith.
AFFIRM
There is at the core of every human being the pure essence of
Spirit. Today
I act from this core, allowing myself to be seen. I see
everyone with the
eyes of Spirit and greet the God in you.

WHERE CHANGE BEGINS
An old mystic said this about himself: "I was a revolutionary
when I was young, and my prayer to God was, 'Lord, give me the
strength to change the world.' As I approached middle age and
realized that my life was halfway gone without changing a single
soul, I changed my prayer to, 'Lord, give me the grace to change
all those who come into contact with me, especially my family and
friends, and I shall be satisfied.' Now that I am an old man, and
my days are numbered, I have begun to see how foolish I have
been. Now my one prayer is this, 'Lord, give me the grace to
change myself.' If I had prayed that right from the start, I
would not have wasted my life."
We can waste years trying to change other people. But we can only
really change one person -- ourselves. In the end, that is
probably enough.

SOMEONE IN NEED
I was walking down a dimly lit street late one
evening when I heard muffled screams coming
from behind a clump of bushes. Alarmed, I
slowed down to listen and panicked when I
realized that what I was hearing were the
unmistakable sounds of a struggle: heavy
grunting, frantic scuffling and tearing of fabric.
Only yards from where stood, a woman was
being attacked.
Should I get involved? I was frightened for my
own safety and cursed myself for having
suddenly decided to take a new route home
that night.
What if I became another statistic? Shouldn't
I just run to the nearest phone and call the
police? Although it seemed an eternity, the
deliberations in my head had taken only
seconds, but already the cries were growing
weaker.
I knew I had to act fast. How could I walk away
from this? No, I finally resolved, I could not
turn my back on the fate of this unknown
woman, even if it meant risking my own life.
I am not a brave man, nor am I athletic. I
don't know where I found the moral courage
and physical strength - but once I had finally
resolved to help the girl, I became strangely
transformed. I ran behind the bushes and
pulled the assailant off the woman.
Grappling, we fell to the ground, where we
wrestled for a few minutes until the attacker
jumped up and escaped.
Panting hard, I scrambled upright and
approached the girl, who was crouched behind
a tree, sobbing. In the darkness, I could barely
see her outline, but I could certainly sense
her trembling shock.
Not wanting to frighten her further, I at first
spoke to her from a distance. "It's OK," I said
soothingly. "The man ran away. You're safe
now."
There was a long pause and then I heard the
words, uttered in wonder, in amazement. "Dad,
is that you?" And then, from behind the tree,
stepped my youngest daughter, Katherine.

The Silent Prayer
The Silent Prayer is an acknowledgement of All That Is. In this
prayer, I
know that every prayer I have ever voiced is heard by Spirit, and
that
Spirit has given unto me all that I have asked for. It is an
acknowledgement
that my soul is complete in the love and grace of God. It is an
acknowledgement of my total state of perfection and Is-ness. All
that I
desire, all that I wish to co create, is already within my reality.
I call
this the Silent Prayer because I know that my Being is already fulfilled.
There is no need to ask for anything of Spirit, because it has
already been
given.
___
In my heart, I accept my perfect Being.
I accept that the joy that I have intended is already in my life.
I accept that love I have prayed for is already within me.
I accept that the peace I have asked for is already my reality.
I accept that the abundance I have sought already fills my life.
In my truth, I accept my perfect Being.
I take responsibility for my own creations,
And all things that are within my life.
I acknowledge the power of Spirit that is within me,
And know that all things are as they should be.
In my wisdom, I accept my perfect Being.
My lessons have been carefully chosen by my Self,
And now I walk through them in full experience.
My path takes me on a sacred journey with divine purpose.
My experiences become part of All That Is.
In my knowingness, I accept my perfect Being.
In this moment, I sit in my golden chair
And know that I Am an angel of light.
I look upon the golden tray - the gift of Spirit -
And know that all of my desires already have been fulfilled.
In love for my Self, I accept my perfect Being.
I cast no judgment or burdens upon my Self.
I accept that everything in my past was given in love.
I accept that everything in this moment comes from love.
I accept that everything in my future will result in greater love.
In my Being, I accept my perfection.
And so it is.
Thank you for sharing this Sue! :) |

Way Showers
So many today are asking; "What is my Life Purpose?'
And for many who ask, it means; "How can I serve
God?"...
Whatever you may chose to call It.
Those who ask such a question are what could be referred
To as Way Showers, those who have an understanding,
For them at least, of why we are here and where we are headed.
The answer lies in the Moment.
No great plans can be laid as in the material sense, for this
Is a path of flow, constant change of direction, and
Flexibility.
It truly is a matter of complete trust, surrender and release...
Letting go and letting God.
In this way we show the Way by Being the Way!

Whatever your state-of-mind in this moment, know that the
presence and
power of God is just a thought away! As you turn in your mind
now to God,
and gently release your cares and concerns, know that your
prayers are
heard and answered as needed.
We sometimes think that creation is finished, but in truth, we,
through
our thoughts and actions, in partnership with God, are
constantly creating
and re-creating our world and everything in it, moment by
moment. In any
and all moments, we can turn our thoughts to God and be renewed
and
strengthened.
Let us pray together............
For guidance:
This is a day that God is making. I am guided in all I
think, say, and do!
For healing:
This is a day that God is making. I am filled with healing
life and love!
For prosperity:
This is a day that God is making. I am prospered and
abundant in every
way!
For Love:
This is a day that God is making. I am surrounded by
divine love.
For world peace:
This is a world that God is making. It is blessed with
peace and harmony

CALL ME CRAZY
Bangkok television used to air the American situational comedy
"LaVerne and Shirley." For whatever reason, officials
there
believed that a disclaimer was necessary for the Thailand
audience, so this subtitle was added to each episode: "The
two
women depicted in the following episode are from an insane
asylum."
Personally, I'm thankful there is a little craziness in the
world! And I don't mind not acting like everybody else. Like the
irrepressible Leo Buscaglia once said: "I don't mind if
people
think I'm crazy. In fact, I think it's great! It gives me
tremendous latitude for behavior."
It may seem like craziness to most people, but I try to be
JOYFUL
whenever possible. I believe that a joyful response is, more
than
anything, a habit, just as fear and worry are life-long habits.
And maybe I can't be happy or rejoice FOR all things, but more
and more, I'd like to learn to rejoice IN all things.
Like pleasure. There are too few opportunities for hearty
laughter, so none should be passed up! I don't want to take the
good that happens for granted.
And, if possible, I want to feel genuine happiness about those
ordinary things and events which make up most of our days. The
happier I am with everyday duties and responsibilities, the more
grateful I am just to be alive.
But finally, I want to learn to be happy even in those difficult
and trying times. I won't be happy FOR them (who likes
problems?), just IN them. I need the soothing medicine of
laughter when it hurts. I also know that at the other end of my
problem is a lesson -- I'll emerge wiser, or maybe stronger, or
perhaps a better person in any number of ways for having faced
it
successfully.
So call me crazy, but I want to learn to rejoice in all things.
And I am just crazy enough to think it's possible!

Extending love to you heals me.
Too often we hold back, waiting for someone else to give
to us before we respond. Simply reacting to life grows
tiresome, however. To risk acting first offers you real
freedom. Until we try it, we can't imagine how
empowering it is.
All of us think we are in a state of need. We think we
need
more money, more possessions, more beauty, or more
friends. If we only had enough, our problems would
dissolve. The paradox is that whatever we think we lack is
supplied when we give, and so get, more love.
We can heal the lack we feel in only one way: by extending
ourselves lovingly, to others. We may hesitate to extend
ourselves because we fear we're unworthy of others. What
could we possibly have that they'd want?
It's time for suspending our fears and disbelief. It's
time
for daring to love.
I yearn to be healed. On any day my soul aches, I can
soothe it by offering love. Today I'll find an
opportunity.

"The Answer"
When for a purpose I had prayed and prayed
Until my words seemed worn and bare
With arduous use,
And I had knocked and asked and knocked
And asked again,
And all my fervor and persistence brought no hope,
I paused to give my weary brain a rest
And ceased my anxious human cry.
In that still moment,
After self had tried and failed,
There came a glorious vision of God's power,
And, lo, my prayer was answered in that hour.

BENEFITS OF CONFESSING
By Lloyd J. Thomas, Ph.D.
The act of confessing has been occurring for centuries in at
least
two disparate contexts: religious and legal. In the
religious sense,
confession has at least two meanings: the confession of ones
beliefs
on one hand, and the confession of one's "sins," or
misdeeds on the
other. These two uses of confession remain a significant
part of many
religious traditions.
The legal context of confessing is the admission to some
criminal
act. The use of confession to convict someone of criminal
behavior,
usually followed by some form of punishment, has also been used
for
hundred's of years. Perhaps the regular punishment of
people who
confess their crimes has frightened us all out of confessing
anything.
Are there any personal benefits we might derive from confessing?
What
psychological benefit is there to confession regardless of the
subsequent consequences.
Confessing is actually the acknowledgement of who we are, what
we
believe or what we have done. As such, confessions usually
lead to
either personal validation, punishment or forgiveness.
We cannot verbalize something unless we are aware of it.
In order
to confess, we need to have a certain amount of self-awareness.
We
can't honestly confess to something of which we have no
knowledge.
Confession in this sense, means expressing an awareness of one's
self.
And increased self-awareness is always very useful.
Self-knowledge
has been touted as a virtue for centuries.
If you know you want to confess or self-disclose on a regular
basis,
then you become much more sensitive to who you are, how you
behave,
what habits you have, and what attitudes, opinions, beliefs,
thoughts,
feelings and desires you have. It is with this awareness
of yourself
that you become more aware of who you really are. It is
only out of
this increased awareness that you can genuinely disclose to
others
aspects of yourself. Anticipation of regular confession
increases
sensitivity and awareness to yourself and your relationship
others.
No matter how much people care about you, they can never know
what
you want or need unless you tell them. When you vocalizes
your
desires to a caring friend, the individual becomes able to offer
you
what you want. Silence makes it impossible for someone who
loves you
to accurately know you and your inner experience.
Confessing to
another, honors their desire to care specifically about you and
your
welfare.
Additionally, confessing opens you up (makes you vulnerable) to
receiving whatever is offered in response. If you confess
you are in
need of caring or support, then the very act of confession makes
you
more receptive to that caring.
If we are not openly verbalizing what we need, no one will ever
know
about, or address our needs, and we become empty. If our
psychological gate is closed, then no matter what others may
offer, we
cannot receive and we remain empty. Emptiness is not a
very pleasant
or healthy state in which to live. Confession serves as a
gate to let
ourselves out, and let in whatever we need.
Confession also strengthens a person's sense of empowerment.
You
feel less helpless, less hopeless, less negative about yourself.
This
is true depending on whether or not your confession is followed
by
self-punishment and recrimination, or by self-forgiveness and
acceptance. If you are your own worst critic or
"punisher," then to
become aware of your shortcomings or mistakes and confess them
merely
invites your harsh internal critic to have a field day with your
open
psyche.
When confession is followed by positive acceptance, help,
support
and love from others or yourself, then confession develops a
great
rush of self-esteem, satisfaction, and a sense of personal
power. We
all need to feel known, loved, accepted, and appreciated.
If we
confess all those characteristics that we believe are shameful,
unlovable, unacceptable and unappreciated, and follow such
confession
by receipt of forgiveness and love, it is no wonder our sense of
satisfaction and esteem is enhanced.
Whether you begin your confession with "Hello, my name is
Bill and I
am an alcoholic" or "Father, forgive me for I have
sinned," or "Kate,
my dear friend, I need to talk to I about something horrible
I've
done" or "Here I am Lord, do with me what you
want," or "Alright, I did
it, "no matter how you start, the act of sharing out loud
your
struggles, your behaviors, your fears, your problems or joys,
the
benefits of confessing who we are to another human being can be
freeing,
strengthening and releasing.

Each Life Affects Another
We may not always realize
That every thing we do,
Affects not only our lives
But touches others, too!
For a little bit of thoughtfulness
That shows someone you care,
Creates a ray of sunshine
For both of you to share.
Yes, every time you offer
Someone a helping hand ...
Every time you show a friend
You care and understand ...
Every time you have
A kind and gentle word to give ...
You help someone find beauty
In this precious life we live.
For happiness brings happiness
And loving ways bring love;
And Giving is the treasure
That contentment is made of.

It's All in the Tone
"It's hardly ever what you say.
It's more the way in which you say it.
It's not really the words that you use...
It's the tone you use to convey it.
'Come here!' he sharply said.
So, the child recoiled and wept.
'Come here,' I softly said instead.
He looked at my smile...
And to my lap he eagerly crept.
Your words may be ever so mild and fair,
but the tone may pierce like a dart.
Yes, your words may be sweet as the summer air,
but with your tone you may break my heart.
Whether you may know it or not;
Whether you mean to or whether you even care...
Kindness, arrogance, love and hate,
caring, disdain and anger are lurking there.
Oh, so many quarrels would you avoid,
and, instead, in happy relations rejoice...
if you kept anger not only out of your words,
but also out of your voice!"

Probably every day of our lives, a plan goes awry. Often we
have counted heavily on a particular outcome. We generally
assume we have all things under control and know exactly
what's best for us, and everyone else as well. But such is not
the case. There is a bigger picture than the one we see. The
outcome of that picture is out of our hands.
Our vision is limited, and again divinely so. However, we are
able to see all that we need to see, today. And more
important,
if we can trust our inner guidance regarding the events of
today, we'll begin to see how each day fills in a shade more
of
the bigger picture of our lives. In retrospect we can see how
all
events have contributed, in important ways, to the people we
are becoming. Where today's events are leading we can't know,
for certain, but we can trust the divine plan.
I will anticipate with faith what lies ahead today. All
experiences carry me forward to fulfill my goal in life. I
will
be alert for the nudge.

What Kind of Life are You Designing?
What cloak do you currently wear that identifies your Life?
Is it pleasing to you or are there tears, stains and worn
spots?
The pattern from which the cloak was sewed/sowed, came
>From your drafting table. The wear and tear on it since
Was of your choosing also.
It is the life you have designed from the errors in the
teaching
Of your fore-bearers combined with errors you have
Added since.
But you may chose again the life you would live and
Re-design it to fit your current understanding...
It is that simple, just make a different choice...

*Energizing Your Number One Desire*
Morning Exercise
1. Each morning take a few minutes just for YOU
2. As you sit in the stillness of the morning sun
take a deep breath in
Breathe in the newness of the day
3. Bring your number one desire into your awareness
by gently focusing on it as you say
it out loud
to yourself
4. Imagine your desire already manifested in your life
see your desire manifested, and
really feel it already
here
5. Embrace the *feeling* you have as your number one
desire is already manifested
6. Allow an image to come to you that captures this
feeling
7. Breathe into this feeling and image
8. Gently say out loud to yourself "And so it
is"
As you bring yourself back into the present moment, know
that you can return to this feeling whenever you wish.
In the middle of your day, when your stress level is
building re-visit this image, this feeling.
I guarantee you, your stress level will drop immediately
and you will be bathed in the wonderful feeling of your
desire already manifested.
This is known as "Visualizing Success in Advance"
This is the secret to manifesting.
When we focus on what it is we really want rather
than focusing on what it is we don't want (the conflicts
in our lives) we have learned the powerful secret to
true manifestation.
When I work with clients during a personal session, I
smile each time I hear them say:
"Susan, it's so simple, yet so profound. How come
it took
me so long to get it?"
Remember, you are on a journey and it is the journey
that is the reward. It's never too late.
~~
I would like to end with wonderful words of inspiration
from one of my favorite writers, Henry David Thoreau.
~~
"I learned this, at least by my experiment:
that if you advance confidently in the direction of
your dreams, and endeavor to live the life which you
have imagined, you will meet with a success unexpected
in common hours. You will put some things behind, you
will pass an invisible boundary; new, universal and
more liberal laws will begin to establish themselves
around and within you; or the old laws will be expanded,
and interpreted in your favor in a more liberal sense,
and you will live with the license of a higher order
of beings.
In proportion as you simplify your life, the laws of the
universe will appear less complex, and solitude will not
be solitude, nor poverty poverty, nor weakness weakness.
If you have built castles in the air, your work need not
be lost, that is what they should be. Now put
foundations under them."
