This was taken in 1990 I think .... (my hair is short now), Charles and
I were driving up to Grand Lake Colorado which is near one of the
gateways to Rocky Mountain National Park and we stopped so I could see
the horses, I grew up with them and will always have a special place for
them in my heart. Grand Lake is one of three large lakes ... I think
there is Grand Lake, Lake Granby and Spirit Lake, high up in the high
country and Grand Lake is kind of a charming little tourist town.

This is Whiskers a cat that we got when she was 2 years old, in January
1984 - we had just moved from California to Colorado Springs, CO and she
came from the Air Force Academy, someone had a new baby and too many
cats they said ...... she was with us until earlier in 1998, when we had
to release her back to the angels. Like most cats she loved sunny
places, when she wasn't busy bossing our dogs around. She was there
first so they all accepted her as boss of the house. All those pets are
now with the angels, Whiskers (cat), Laddie (collie), Stormy (collie)
and Brandy (Border Collie). We now have Cherie (collie) who is almost 3
and a half.

This hummingbird picture was taken 5-17-95 .... we had a blizzard that
brought 15" of snow in 8 hours .... this little humming bird found a
place to rest and to get some nutrition, fluff up and stay dry out of
the storm. He left and came back several times that day. We had just
gotten our collie Cherie 3 days before at 7 weeks old, so not working at
the time I had the job of house training her. hehe. We went out in the
storm and came back in and kept drying ourselves off, or rather I was
drying us off, who knows how many times that day. The Aspen trees were
bent over in an arc and we had some huge limbs break off some pine trees
and fall to the ground, luckily away from the house.
